The role requires 5+ years in QA automation, strong Java/TypeScript skills, API testing, SQL, and experience with CI/CD and Jira. You will mentor QA engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to raise automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.

About the Role:

India’s leading Educational ERP Software company, a Deloitte Fast 50 Company and ET Growth Champion, Serosoft is looking for an experienced Playwright Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Playwright and Automation Testing. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, including team-handling responsibilities, and a strong command over Java programming, API testing, database queries, and automation tools like Playwright.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Playwright automation frameworks.
• Develop automated test scripts for functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Implement Cucumber/BDD-based automation using Gherkin feature files.
• Develop and maintain reusable Page Object Model and automation components.
• Practical experience using Claude or other AI-assisted coding/testing tools.
• Integrate automation suites with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Identify suitable regression scenarios for automation and continuously increase automation coverage.
• Implement stable locator strategies and handle dynamic web elements.
• Analyze and resolve flaky automation tests and execution failures.
• Develop API automation using Playwright, Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.
• Implement parallel and cross-browser test execution.
• Analyze automation reports and perform root-cause analysis of failures.
• Perform database validation using SQL.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with Developers, BAs, Product Owners, and QA teams.
• Perform automation code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Mentor QA engineers and help them adopt Playwright, Cucumber, and AI-assisted automation practices.
• Continuously identify opportunities to reduce manual regression effort and improve automation stability and execution time.

Mandatory Skills
