Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a Platform Engineering Lead - DevOps in a hybrid Mumbai/Bangalore-influenced setup. The role focuses on architecture, engineering, reliability, and automation of enterprise DevOps platforms for a major European client.

You will own CI/CD pipelines, observability, and Software Factory tooling, while mentoring teams and driving platform adoption across engineering, security, and operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with DevOps/Platform Engineering background.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD development, software factory platforms, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Azure cloud services.
• Proven leadership in enterprise-scale DevOps environments and incident management.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus, SonarQube, and Digital.ai deployments.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, roadmap, and standards for CI/CD, container, automation, and observability platforms.
• Lead design and improvement of enterprise CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and artifact management.
• Manage and enhance Software Factory tools: Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus, Quay, SonarQube, Digital.ai Deploy/Release.
• Administer OpenShift clusters, Ansible Automation Platform, and related tooling.
• Develop reusable GitLab CI/CD pipelines, templates, and shared components.
• Support OpenShift ecosystem tools like ArgoCD, Istio, Kyverno, StackRox.
• Automate infrastructure with IaC and cloud automation; maintain Elastic Stack.

The selected candidate will provide technical leadership while remaining actively involved in platform engineering, automation, production support and complex troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities* Own the architecture, technical roadmap, and engineering standards for CI/CD, container, automation, and observability platforms.* Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, release automation, and artifact management.* Manage and enhance Software Factory tools including Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus, Quay, SonarQube, Digital.ai Deploy, and Digital.ai Release.* Maintain, support, and continuously improve Build Factory platforms and services.* Develop, maintain, and optimize reusable GitLab CI/CD pipelines, templates, and shared components.* Administer and support Red Hat OpenShift clusters, including configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.* Manage and govern the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, including organizations, inventories, credentials, job templates, and execution environments.* Design and implement automation solutions using Ansible playbooks, roles, and CI/CD integrations.* Support and manage OpenShift ecosystem technologies such as ArgoCD, Istio Service Mesh, Kyverno, and StackRox.* Administer Azure cloud services, including subscriptions, networking, compute, storage, security, governance, and RBAC.* Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), pipelines, and cloud automation tools.* Maintain and enhance the Elastic Stack for centralized logging, monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting.* Manage F5 platforms and develop automation capabilities, including Java-based tooling and configuration services.* Provide L3 technical support, lead production incident resolution, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.* Mentor engineers and collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, architecture, and application teams to drive platform adoption and operational excellence.
