Job summary

TekWissen seeks a Platform Engineering Engineer II in Chennai to join our HPC supercomputing team. You will install, profile, tune, and support CAE applications across our Linux HPC environment, and evaluate workloads on CPU and GPU technologies to ensure efficient solutions.

You will develop CLI tooling and APIs for customer access to HPC resources, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with researchers to scale applications while staying current with HPC best practices.

Qualifications

• Good command and understanding of Linux operating systems, preferably in an HPC environment.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, preferably Python, Go or Bash scripting.
• Strong familiarity with distributed workloads and MPI standards (IntelMPI, OpenMPI).
• Familiarity with scaling applications and metrics tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; able to define problems to solve.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Apptainer or Kubernetes.

Position/Role Requirements::

• Strong familiarity with distributed workloads and Message Passing Interface standards (IntelMPI, OpenMPI, etc) and concepts
• Familiarity with how to scale applications and the metrics collection, analysis, and visualization tools used to identify bottlenecks like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. The ability to define what problems need to be solved.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Apptainer or Kubernetes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience Required:

• Engineer III Exp: Proficient In 2 coding lang. or adv. Prac. in 1 lang.
• 6+ years in IT; 4+ years in development

• Familiarity with Batch Scheduling concepts (ex: PBS Pro or Slurm).
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
