Job summary

INDmoney is seeking a Platform Engineer to own reliability, scalability, and security for the Stocks platform powering live trading, market data, and order execution. This high-ownership role sits at the intersection of infrastructure and product, building a platform that keeps a low-latency, always-on system running smoothly.

You'll design CI/CD pipelines, manage AWS infra with Terraform/Pulumi, define SLOs, lead incident responses, and improve observability across the stack.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the Stocks platform's services.
• Own infrastructure-as-code for AWS environments supporting trading, market data, and order management systems.
• Define and track SLIs/SLOs/SLAs; build alerting with meaningful signal-to-noise ratio.
• Lead incident response for production issues with blameless postmortems.
• Build observability across the stack using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Datadog, etc.
• Automate operational toil: service creation, observability setup, access management, scaling, failovers.
• Harden security posture with CIS benchmarks and access controls.

Job description

INDmoney's Stocks team is looking for a Platform Engineer with strong SRE and DevOps fundamentals to own the reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence of systems powering live trading, market data, and order execution. You'll work at the intersection of infrastructure and product — building the platform that keeps a high-stakes, low-latency, always-on stock trading system running smoothly.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys solving problems where downtime or latency has real financial consequences for users.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the Stocks platform's services, enabling fast and safe deployments
• Own infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Pulumi) for AWS environments supporting trading, market data, and order management systems
• Define and track SLIs/SLOs/SLAs for critical trading flows; build alerting that catches real problems without noise
• Lead incident response for production issues — triage, mitigate, and drive blameless postmortems with clear action items
• Build observability (metrics, logs, traces) across the stack using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Victoria, Loki, ELK/Datadog, or similar
• Improve system reliability through capacity planning, load testing, chaos engineering, DR Drills and proactive failure analysis
• Automate manual operational toil — service creation, observability setup, access management,scaling, failovers, etc.
• Harden security posture in collaboration with security teams — secrets management, network policies, access controls, CIS Benchmarks, and much more.
• Optimize for low-latency and high-availability requirements specific to trading systems from exchange to DC to Cloud (market hours load spikes, exchange connectivity, order routing reliability)
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers on the Stocks team to ensure new features are designed with scalability & reliability in mind
• Contribute to and evolve internal platform tooling used across engineering (self-service deployment, inhouse observability/alerting, internal developer platform)

What We're Looking For

• Experience ranging from mid-level to senior (we're open on years — what matters is depth in the areas below; mention your experience level when you apply)
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS (EC2, EKS/ECS, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda)
• Solid grasp of Kubernetes and container orchestration in production
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Pulumi,Ansible, etc) and configuration management
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Strong scripting/programming ability (Python, Bash & Go) for automation
• Practical experience with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, New Relic, etc.)
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, Load Balancing, VPC peering, Private Endpoints, Transit Gateways) and Linux internals
• Experience running and supporting production systems on‑call, with a track record of effective incident management
• Understanding of database operations (PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB) from an infra perspective
• Bonus: experience in fintech, trading, or other latency‑sensitive/high‑availability domains
• Bonus: exposure to security/compliance practices relevant to financial systems (SEBI, PCI-DSS, or similar)
