Job summary

PVH Corp. in Bengaluru seeks a Senior SAP Basis Administrator to lead administration, monitoring, and governance of complex SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, CAR) across production and non-production environments.

You will coordinate with SAP ECS and internal teams on incidents, upgrades, and connectivity, while driving automation, audits, and lifecycle management to ensure high availability and compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on experience in SAP and SAAS services.
• Extensive experience in managing and working with managed services.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS will be a plus.
• Experience managing the implementation, enhancement, upgrade, and support of large ERP applications.
• Experience leading through a transition to modern ERP platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with proactive problem-solving.
• Automation, auditability, and availability in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence global teams.
• Project Management skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration, monitoring, maintenance, and governance of SAP landscapes including S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SAP CAR, SLT and SAP HANA across environments.
• Manage SAP systems under RISE with SAP, coordinating with internal teams for incidents, changes, backups, and connectivity.
• Own Basis activities for S/4HANA: health monitoring, transports, client administration, job management, and kernel updates.
• Provide Basis and platform support for BW/4HANA and SAP CAR landscapes, including performance and interfaces.
• Manage SLT configurations, RFC connectivity, replication health and integration between SAP sources and HANA/BW.
• Support SAP BTP environments including subaccounts, entitlements, connectivity and trust configuration.
• Plan and execute SAP upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management with minimal downtime.
• Govern SAP transport processes with proper approvals and traceability.
• Monitor and optimize SAP application and HANA performance; address bottlenecks and optimization.
• Maintain security, compliance, audit readiness, and access controls within SAP environments.
• Act as Basis SME for audits and SOX/ITGC reviews with evidence.
• Support disaster recovery planning and DR exercises for critical SAP environments.
• Lead incident resolution and root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical leadership and governance for SAP landscapes and integration strategies.
• Coordinate with vendors for SAP RISE/ECS engagements and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for automation of Basis tasks.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• SAP Landscape & Platform Administration: Lead administration, monitoring, maintenance, and technical governance of complex SAP landscapes including S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SAP CAR, SLT and associated SAP HANA systems across production and non-production environments.
• RISE with SAP Operations: Manage SAP systems hosted under RISE with SAP, coordinating closely with SAP Enterprise Cloud Services and internal teams for incidents, service requests, maintenance activities, infrastructure changes, upgrades, backups, restores, certificates, connectivity and operational issues.
• S/4HANA & HANA Technical Operations: Own Basis activities for S/4HANA environments including system health monitoring, HANA administration, performance analysis, parameter management, transports, client administration, job management, kernel updates and technical troubleshooting.
• BW/4HANA & CAR Support: Provide Basis and platform support for BW/4HANA and SAP CAR landscapes, including system performance, interfaces, batch processing, HANA resource utilization, availability, connectivity and integration dependencies.
• SAP SLT Administration: Manage and troubleshoot SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server (SLT) configurations, RFC connectivity, replication health, latency, table replication issues and integrations between SAP source systems and HANA/BW platforms.
• SAP BTP Administration & Integration: Support SAP BTP environments including subaccounts, entitlements, destinations, connectivity, Cloud Connector, certificates, trust configuration, identity integration and connectivity between BTP and on-premise/RISE SAP applications.
• System Upgrades, Patching & Lifecycle Management: Plan and execute SAP technical upgrades, SPS/FPS updates, kernel upgrades, HANA revisions, support-pack activities and maintenance cycles while coordinating downtime, testing, validation and rollback strategies.
• Transport & Change Management: Govern SAP transport processes across development, quality and production landscapes, ensuring proper approvals, segregation of duties, traceability and adherence to enterprise change-management controls.
• Performance & Availability Management: Proactively monitor SAP application and HANA database performance, identify bottlenecks, perform root-cause analysis and drive optimization for memory, CPU, expensive SQL, background jobs, interfaces and application workloads.
• Security, Compliance & Audit Readiness: Maintain strong SAP technical controls aligned with corporate security and compliance requirements, including user administration controls, privileged access, password policies, RFC security, system parameters, audit logging, transport controls and segregation of duties.
• Audit & Evidence Management: Act as a key Basis SME for internal audits, external audits, SOX/ITGC reviews and compliance assessments, providing system-generated evidence, control documentation, change records, access reviews, configuration details and remediation responses.
• SOX / ITGC Control Execution: Support and periodically validate controls covering logical access, privileged access, change management, system operations, backup/restore, batch jobs, interface monitoring and production access, ensuring identified gaps are remediated within agreed timelines.
• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Participate in DR strategy, system recovery planning and periodic DR exercises for critical SAP environments, validating backup integrity, recovery procedures, dependencies, RTO/RPO objectives and documenting test outcomes.
• Incident & Problem Management: Lead resolution of high-priority SAP technical incidents, perform detailed RCA, coordinate across SAP, infrastructure, network, security, application and vendor teams, and implement preventive corrective actions.
• Technical Architecture & Governance: Provide technical recommendations for SAP landscape design, sizing, scalability, high availability, interfaces, cloud connectivity and lifecycle strategy while ensuring alignment with SAP best practices and enterprise architecture standards.
• Vendor & SAP Coordination: Serve as the technical focal point for SAP RISE/ECS, SAP Product Support and third-party vendors, managing escalations, service requests, problem investigations and implementation of SAP recommendations.
• Automation & Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities to automate Basis operational activities such as monitoring, health checks, reporting, certificate tracking, job monitoring, audit evidence collection and repetitive administration tasks.
• Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain technical architecture diagrams, SOPs, operational runbooks, DR documentation, system inventories, maintenance procedures, audit-control documentation and troubleshooting knowledge bases.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior Basis administrators, establish operational standards, conduct technical reviews and provide senior-level guidance during upgrades, migrations, outages, audits and major SAP transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP and SAAS services
• Extensive experience in Managing and working with Managed services
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS will be a plus
• Experience managing the implementation, enhancement, upgrade, and support of large ERP applications in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Experience in leading through a transition to modern ERP platforms
• Strong troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and system optimization
