Job summary

Weekday AI (YC W21) in Bengaluru or Chennai, hybrid, is seeking a senior frontend engineer. You will own data-heavy product surfaces, shape UI and API contracts, and drive production-grade frontend work in a fast-paced startup environment.

You’ll ship end-to-end features with strong React and TypeScript fundamentals, owning both frontend and backend aspects as needed. Prior startup experience and excellent communication are valued.

• Complex user-facing products you personally shipped and ran in production.
• Credible backend ownership; Node.js/TypeScript helps, equivalent depth is fine.

Responsibilities

• Data-heavy product surfaces end to end, from contract and UI to release and iteration.
• Frontend architecture: component boundaries, state and data fetching, performance, accessibility.
• Shared patterns and components, built with design and product, that make the next surface faster to ship.
• The service side: APIs, data contracts, permissions and failure handling across layers, plus testing, observability and release safety.

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (hybrid)

Job Type: Full-time

You’ll build the product surfaces where customers model, build and run supply-chain decisions: complex, data-heavy workflows, editors, grids and app-building experiences. Your instinct shows in the UI, but your ownership doesn’t stop at the browser: you’ll shape the API and data contract behind each surface and own it in production. Its a senior role, with level set by what you demonstrate.
