The Opportunity: DevOps & DevSecOps Engineer for Enterprise Platform

We are seeking a senior hands-[EH1] on DevOps Engineer to lead the automation, deployment, security, database administration, and cloud infrastructure management for our enterprise platform. You will build resilient CI/CD pipelines, manage PostgreSQL databases and AI/MCP integrations, guarantee high uptime/availability, enforce security guardrails, and optimize deployment velocity as we scale our integrated services footprint.

Purpose of the Role

To serve as the primary cloud automation, platform reliability, and database operations lead, guaranteeing system uptime/SLA targets, maintaining high-availability deployment pipelines, managing PostgreSQL instances and Azure Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, and enforcing automated security controls across our Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem.

Core Technology Stack

Cloud, AI & MCP Infrastructure- Microsoft Azure, including App Services, AKS and VNets, Azure Model Context Protocol servers, Docker and container orchestration

CI/CD & Automation- Azure DevOps, including Pipelines, Repos and Artifacts, Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python and Bash

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Infrastructure, MCP & AI Platform

• Infrastructure as Code: Provision, manage, and scale Azure cloud infrastructure using Bicep or Terraform to ensure environment consistency across Dev, Test, and Production.
• Azure MCP Server Operations: Deploy, configure, secure, and maintain Azure Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and AI tool interfaces for seamless integration with developer workflows and LLM agent services.
• Platform Cost & Optimization: Monitor cloud consumption and implement FinOps best practices to optimize Azure cloud spending.

PostgreSQL & Database Operations

• Database Administration & Operations: Manage Azure Database for PostgreSQL (Flexible Server), including performance tuning, index optimization, query profiling, and schema migrations.
• Data Protection & Disaster Recovery: Ensure robust automated backup strategies, point-in-time recovery (PITR), high availability (HA) failover, and disaster recovery testing for PostgreSQL workloads.

System Uptime & Platform Reliability

• High Availability & Uptime Assurance: Architect, measure, and enforce high availability (99.9%+ uptime SLAs) across production Azure infrastructure, microservices, and databases.
• Observability & Incident Escalation: Establish comprehensive telemetry using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and App Insights. Serve as the final technical escalation point for production outages, leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

CI/CD Engineering & DevSecOps

• Pipeline Optimization: Design, implement, and maintain YAML build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps for application code and database migrations.
• Security Automation & Governance: Integrate SAST/DAST security scanning, enforce least-privilege access (Microsoft Entra ID), manage secrets in Azure Key Vault, and enforce Azure Policy.

Required Expertise (5-8+ Years)

• Cloud Platform Mastery: 58+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.
• Database Management (PostgreSQL): Hands-on experience configuring, tuning, backing up, and maintaining Azure Database for PostgreSQL (Flexible Server).
• Model Context Protocol (MCP) & AI Integration: Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Azure Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers or API gateway interfaces for LLM and developer tooling context delivery.
• Uptime & Site Reliability (SRE): Proven track record managing platform availability, SLA/SLO tracking, disaster recovery, and high availability (HA) failover setups.
• Hybrid CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code Automation: Advanced experience designing, automating, and maintaining Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for API, UI, database, and infrastructure deployments across hybrid environments, including on-premises IIS servers and Azure-native services. Strong hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform to provision, configure, and manage consistent Dev, Test, and Production environments, with the ability to modernise existing pipelines as workloads transition to Azure cloud services.
• Message Queue Management & Migration (RabbitMQ): Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining RabbitMQ clusters on-premises using automation/configuration management, alongside the expertise to plan and execute their migration or integration with Azure-native messaging solutions (such as Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ on AKS).
• Containers & DevSecOps: Proficiency with Docker/AKS, Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and pipeline security automation.
• Linux system administration and Bash scripting: Strong hands-on experience administering Linux-based servers and services, including package management, user and permission management, systemd services, log analysis, networking, SSH hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, and production troubleshooting. Advanced Bash scripting skills to automate operational tasks such as deployments, health checks, backups, log rotation, monitoring alerts, environment configuration, RabbitMQ/PostgreSQL maintenance tasks, and Azure DevOps pipeline integration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300), or Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).
• Hands-on scripting proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Bash for database and MCP automation.
