Job summary

Oneiro Lifecare in India is seeking a Production Operations professional to lead the API manufacturing block, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production. You will supervise shop-floor activities, plan schedules, and coordinate with Planning, Engineering, QA, QC, and EHS to maintain uninterrupted operations.

The role emphasizes adherence to cGMP, data integrity, and quality standards, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization across manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned API manufacturing block to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production.
• Ensure smooth operation of the API manufacturing plant by managing production activities, coordinating with support functions, and maintaining uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Oversee daily shop floor activities to optimize productivity, equipment utilization, process efficiency, and workplace safety.
• Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to achieve business targets while ensuring adherence to approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), SOPs, and process instructions.
• Monitor critical process parameters and ensure consistent product quality and manufacturing excellence.
• Carry out daily manpower planning, shift deployment, and resource allocation to ensure optimum utilization of personnel and timely completion of production schedules.
• Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Engineering, QA, QC, and EHS to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
• Ensure strict compliance with cGMP, data integrity, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance on API manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with cGMP requirements and regulatory expectations.
• Maintain audit readiness for regulatory and customer inspections.
• Review production documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Lead investigations for deviations, non-conformances, and implement effective CAPA and change control activities.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, cost reduction, yield improvement, and operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and productivity enhancement programs.
• Support process optimization, scale-up activities, technology transfer, and product development initiatives to improve manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and minimum downtime.
• Coordinate with Utilities and Engineering departments to ensure uninterrupted availability of utilities required for manufacturing.
• Work closely with Warehouse and Supply Chain teams for effective inventory control, material availability, and production planning.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies, hazardous chemical handling procedures, and statutory safety requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture by conducting risk assessments, safety observations, and incident investigations.
• Ensure proper waste management and environmental compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, shift in-charges, and operators.
• Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and ensure competency development.
• Foster employee engagement, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
• Maintain complete manufacturing records and ensure timely documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
