Job summary

Calderys India Refractories is seeking an experienced plant operations leader with 15+ years in refractory manufacturing or related fields. The role focuses on safe, efficient production, cost control, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will drive Kaizen initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with industrial regulations while coordinating with stakeholders to keep the plant running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Ceramic or Chemical Engineering (B.Tech).
• 15+ years experience in relevant manufacturing.
• Experience in refractory/thermal insulation industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow and establish EHS guidelines to achieve zero accidents.
• Ensure production across lines with safety and quality.
• Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee product costing with supply chain, QC, finance; understand P&L.
• Drive process improvements, cost optimization, IMS, 5S, TPM, training.
• Promote KAIZEN culture and continuous improvements.
• Ensure legal compliance and coordination with internal/external stakeholders.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities:

• Following, respecting & establishing all EHS guidelines, protocols in workplace to achieve zero accident goal.
• Ensuring overall production of all production lines with maintaining utmost safety & quality standard.
• To achieve monthly / quarterly / annual budget & forecast.
• Ensuring Product costing on regular basis as per requirements of business continuity in consultation with supply chain, QC, production and finance team. Basic understanding of P & L account.
• Ensuring active involvement in process improvement, cost optimization, IMS, 5S, TPM ,Training etc.
• Ensuring participation and encourage team in KAIZEN culture (improvements jobs).
• Ensuring compliance with all legal, statutory matter as per industrial law.
• Ensuring proper coordination with other stake holders (internal & external) for smooth operation of plant.

Skills and Competencies:

• Professional with a background of managing operation of Refractory manufacturing / Insulation products / Chemical industry etc.
• Ability to lead entire team at plant level. Positive attitude / teamwork approach / self-driven / result oriented.
• Open minded & experience in multicultural environments.
• Knowledge of SAP, MS office, other operating software.
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Green Belt or any equivalent Lean certification.

Requirements:

• Essential: B. Tech in Ceramic /Chemical Engineering with minimum 15 years of experience.
• Preferred: Work experience in Refractory Manufacturing / Thermal Insulation products.
