Job summary

Grundfos in India is seeking a Production Planning Specialist to optimize schedules and material flows, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency across manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to translate forecasts into actionable plans, monitor progress, and drive improvements in planning KPIs while supporting S&OP with capacity insights and a focus on sustainable water solutions.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in production planning, material planning or supply chain planning within manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of MRP/MPS concepts, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production plans aligned with demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets.
  • Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure material availability and smooth production flow.
  • Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust plans to mitigate risks and delays.
  • Analyze planning KPIs such as schedule adherence, lead times, and inventory levels to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with demand planners and sales teams to translate forecasts into actionable production schedules.
  • Support S&OP processes by providing capacity and supply insights to leadership.

As our new Production Planning Specialist, you'll be driving production planning processes that ensure optimal resource utilization and on-time delivery across our manufacturing operations. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Supply Chain Planning team, you'll create impact by optimizing production schedules and material flows to ensure Grundfos delivers sustainable water solutions to customers worldwide, on time and at the right cost.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain detailed production plans aligned with demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets
  • Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and smooth production flow
  • Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and proactively adjust plans to mitigate risks and delays
  • Analyze key planning KPIs such as schedule adherence, lead times, and inventory levels to drive continuous improvement
