Job summary

Lumirise Pvt Ltd in India is seeking a Planning Head for the LED manufacturing unit. You will own end-to-end production planning, manage workflows, coordinate ERP data, and ensure audit readiness to meet quality and regulatory standards.

The role requires 5-10 years in planning and production within manufacturing, preferably LED/electrical, with a BE/BTech or diploma. You will lead a cross-functional team, optimize resources, and drive Lean improvements while maintaining timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in planning and production within manufacturing.
• B.Tech in ECE/Electrical/Mechanical preferred; Diploma acceptable.
• Experience with ERP systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on forecasts and orders.
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
• Monitor production targets and ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with procurement for raw material availability.
• Design and implement efficient production workflows.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve process efficiency.
• Coordinate between Stores, Production, QA, and Dispatch.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices where applicable.
• ERP data entry and real-time updates.
• Monitor MIS reports, production reports, and variance reports.
• Train and guide team on ERP usage.
• Handle internal and external audits (ISO, statutory, client audits).
• Maintain documentation and records for production and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and supervise planning and production coordination team.
• Conduct regular review meetings and reporting to management.
• Stock planning of RM, WIP, and FG; avoid overstocking/stock-outs.
• Coordinate with stores for material reconciliation and control.

Role Summary

The Planning Head will be responsible for end-to-end production planning, workflow management, ERP coordination, and audit compliance in the LED manufacturing unit. This role ensures smooth production operations, optimum resource utilization, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Control

• Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on sales forecasts and orders
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials
• Monitor production targets and ensure timely completion
• Coordinate with procurement for raw material availability

2. Workflow & Process Management

• Design and implement efficient production workflows
• Identify bottlenecks and improve process efficiency
• Ensure smooth coordination between Stores, Production, QA, and Dispatch
• Implement lean manufacturing practices where applicable

3. ERP Management & Data Control

• Ensure accurate ERP data entry and real-time updates
• Monitor production, inventory, and dispatch through ERP system
• Generate and analyze MIS reports, production reports, and variance reports
• Train and guide team members on ERP usage

4. Audit Handling & Compliance

• Handle internal and external audits (ISO, statutory, client audits, etc.)
• Maintain proper documentation and records for production and inventory
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with departments to close audit observations

5. Team Leadership

• Lead and supervise planning and production coordination team
• Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance
• Conduct regular review meetings and reporting to management

6. Inventory & Material Planning

• Ensure proper stock planning of RM, WIP, and FG
• Avoid overstocking and stock-outs
• Coordinate with stores for material reconciliation and control

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC)
• Hands-on experience in ERP systems (SAP, Tally, or Manufacturing ERP)
• Good understanding of LED/Electrical manufacturing processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
