Job summary

Wroots Global is seeking a Senior PKI Engineer in Coimbatore to lead PKI operations, manage internal and external certificates, and govern certificate lifecycle across applications and services. The role emphasizes design, troubleshooting, and mentoring PKI engineers.

The candidate should drive security-compliant PKI practices within Microsoft PKI environments, working closely with operations teams and external certificate portals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft PKI and AD CS.
• Expertise in PKI design, templates, and revocation management.
• Troubleshooting of certificate issuance and trust chain issues.
• Experience with DigiCert and Sectigo public certificates.
• familiarity with AppViewX, Venafi, and PKI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead and escalation point for PKI operations.
• Lead generation and renewal of internal certificates in Microsoft PKI.
• Manage issuance, renewal, and revocation of external certificates via DigiCert Portal.
• Own certificate lifecycle for internal and public certificates.
• Design and govern PKI architecture including CAs and trust chains.
• Maintain certificate templates, CRLs, and revocation mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot certificate issues impacting apps and servers.
• Ensure PKI services meet security, compliance, and SLA requirements.
• Review PKI designs delivered by operations teams.
• Provide leadership and guidance to PKI engineers.

SR Skills: PKI - Certificate Management

SR Location: Coimbatore (India)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical lead and escalation point for all PKIrelated operations and issues.
• Lead the generation and renewal of internal certificates within the Microsoft PKI environment.
• Manage the issuance, renewal, and revocation of external certificates using the DigiCert External Certificate Portal.
• Own and govern certificate lifecycle management for internal and publicfacing certificates.
• Design, review, and manage PKI architecture, including Certificate Authorities (CAs) and trust chains.
• Manage and maintain certificate templates, CRLs, and revocation mechanisms.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for certificaterelated issues impacting applications, servers, and services.
• Ensure PKI services operate in line with security standards, compliance requirements, and SLAs.
• Review and validate PKI designs and configurations delivered by operational teams.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to PKI engineers and administrators.

Skills Required:

• Strong handson experience with: Microsoft PKI, Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS)
• Proven expertise in:
• PKI design and implementation
• Certificate templates management
• CRL and revocation management
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for:
• Certificate issuance failures
• Trust chain and validation issues
• Experience managing public certificates using platforms such as DigiCert, Sectigo
• Good to have Skills:
• Design, Implementation of CLM Tools like AppviewX or Venafi or Digicert or Sectigo
• Azure Server Administration Skills
• 810 years of experience in IT service delivery, preferably in core application support management.
• Strong management and technical leadership skills
• Ability to independently manage PKI operations and drive issues to resolution
• Excellent problemsolving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work in securitycritical, production environments
