Job summary

Voltech HR Services (VHRS) in Jamnagar, India, seeks an experienced Piping Construction Lead to plan and supervise piping fabrication, installation, and erection activities in line with master schedules and project specs.

This role requires strong leadership to manage subcontractors, enforce HSE, monitor quality and cost, and deliver progress reports. You will mentor supervisors and coordinate with clients to maintain healthy relations.

Responsibilities

• Piping specification, fabrication and erection techniques knowledge and hands-on experience.
• Develop piping schedule aligned with master schedule and front release plan in consultation with E&P.
• Estimate resources and reduce rework to improve productivity.
• Manage construction activities and execute works per approved contract schedule and specs.
• Develop and implement Construction Execution Plan requirements.
• Ensure adherence to HSE procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Generate regular progress reports for management review.
• Monitor subcontractor and vendor performance and contribute to project close-out evaluations.
• Ensure construction areas meet international quality standards within budget and schedule.
• Possess knowledge of construction work pack (CWP) implementation and ensure compliance of manuals and procedures.
• Lead the Piping Construction team to foster cooperation and team spirit.
• Develop staff so supervisory positions have capable deputies for absences and leave rotation.
• Identify and mentor high-potential personnel and new graduates with training time.
• Represent in meetings with clients and subcontractors responsibly.
• Maintain healthy and cordial relations with clients throughout the project.
• Cost control and billing certification (Client & Subcontractors) for Piping.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of piping specification, fabrication, and erection techniques
• Development of Piping Schedule in line with master Schedule & Front release plan in consultation with E&P.
• Estimation of Resources & reduction of rework; productivity improvement.
• Manage the construction activities and execute the construction works in line with the approved contract schedule and specifications.
• Develop and implement the requirements of the Construction Execution Plan.
• Ensure adherence to the project/corporate HSE procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Responsible for generating regular progress reports for review by Management.
• Monitoring subcontractor and vendor performance and contributes to project evaluation of these in project close-out reports.
• Ensure that the construction areas are constructed to international quality standards and agreed budget, schedule, and construction sequence.
• Knowledge on Implementation of construction work pack (CWP) is preferred, Ensure compliance of manuals, procedures, and systems.
• Manage the Piping Construction team creating an atmosphere of cooperation and team spirit.
• Develop the staff so that every supervisory position has a Deputy able to stand in for absences and rotation leave.
• Identifying and mentoring high potential personnel and recent college/university graduates and allowing training time.
• Representation in all meetings with clients and subcontractors responsibly
• Ensure healthy & cordial relations with clients throughout project.
• Cost Control & Billing Certification (Client & Subcontractors) for Piping
