Job summary

Worley is seeking a Piping Designer to join our team and deliver piping layout and GA work for projects across India, Australia, Europe, and overseas. You will leverage E3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation to model piping systems, review designs, and generate MTO reports.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in piping design and hands-on experience with E3D/S3D/Inventor/Plant 3D/AutoCAD 3D, supported by a Diploma/ITI or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. Collaboration with global offices is key.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of piping design experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience using E3D, S3D, Inventor, Autodesk Plant 3D, AutoCAD 3D.
• Diploma/ITI or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct piping layout studies and detailing for systems (pumps, exchangers, vessels, tanks, etc.) for projects in India, Australia, Europe and overseas.
• Utilize E3D for piping, support, and equipment modeling with compliance to project specs.
• Extract and annotate GA drawings, isometrics, and support GA.
• Manage extraction and checking of MTO and other reports.
• Demonstrate knowledge of piping material specs and IS/ASME/API/BS/EN codes.
• Use 2D software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and 3D software (E3D, S3D, Inventor, Plant 3D, AutoCAD 3D).
• Conduct model review sessions and collaborate with lead office and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with clients and lead offices in written and verbal form.

The Role

As a Piping Designer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Conduct piping layout studies and detailing for various systems, including pumps, compressors, exchangers, pipe racks, air coolers, columns, heaters, horizontal and vertical vessels, tank farm areas, mills, cyclones, flotation cells, sizers, thickeners, and filter presses for projects in India, Australia, Europe, and overseas.
• Utilize E3D for piping, support, and equipment modeling, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Extract and annotate piping general arrangement (GA) drawings and isometrics, along with support general arrangements.
• Manage the extraction and checking of Material Take-Off (MTO) and other relevant reports.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of piping material specifications and national/international codes and standards (IS, ASME, API, BS, EN).
• Utilize 2D software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and 3D software (E3D, S3D, Inventor, Autodesk Plant 3D, AutoCAD 3D) effectively.
• Conduct model review sessions to ensure design integrity and compliance.
• Collaborate in workshare environments with the lead office and other project stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with clients and lead offices, both verbally and in writing.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Diploma, ITI, or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline instead of Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in piping design.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in E3D, S3D, Inventor, Autodesk Plant 3D, AutoCAD 3D is required.
