Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced PingID Operations & Support Engineer to support, monitor, and enhance enterprise‑scale identity and authentication platforms in a cloud‑hosted environment. The role focuses on operational support, incident management, production stability, and continuous improvement of authentication systems built on Ping Identity products and AWS‑based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in PingFederate, Ping Directory, IAM, AWS, Linux, and modern identity protocols such as OIDC, OAuth, and SAML.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 operational support for PingFederate, Ping Directory, and PingID environments
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA)
- Monitor authentication platforms using tools like Splunk and Dynatrace
- Manage high‑priority incidents, participate in bridge calls, and ensure timely resolution
- Handle ServiceNow queues (REQ/Incidents)
- Own production release activities and post‑release monitoring
- Implement and support identity integrations using OIDC, OAuth, and SAML
- Work with application teams to gather requirements and implement IAM solutions
- Deploy and manage applications in AWS (EC2 and Serverless environments)
- Support CI/CD deployments using Jenkins and GitHub
- Work with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools)
- Set up monitoring dashboards and alerts
- Work on support and development stories in an Agile/Kanban environment
- Ensure system stability, performance, and security in a regulated environment
Must‑Have Skill Set
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in Ping Identity (PingID, PingFederate)
- Strong experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Hands‑on experience with PingFederate administration and integrations
- Experience supporting Ping Directory
- Strong knowledge of OIDC, OAuth, and SAML protocols
- Experience deploying and managing applications in AWS (EC2 & Serverless)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Linux and Java‑based applications
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
- Experience handling production incidents and performing RCA
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
- Experience working with GitHub
- Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools
- Ability to manage high‑priority incidents and bridge calls
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Minimum 2 years of stability in current/previous organization
- Notice Period: 15 days to 1 month
