Job summary

NexGen Tech Solutions is seeking a PIM Admin to configure, maintain, and operate the PIM platform, ensuring data structures and workflows support global product data quality.

You will manage attributes, classifications, data governance, and mappings between systems (MDM, DAM, ERP) to align product information across channels. The role collaborates with business users, data governance, and IT to keep exports, templates, and integrations up-to-date.

Qualifications

• Data modeling basics required.
• Understanding of PIs / integrations (high level)
• ETL / data flows knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure attributes and classifications for global + local data.
• Manage data structures to support cross-border data.
• Configure local extensions (country attributes, assortments).
• Enable governance inside PIM for data quality and completeness checks.
• Set up mappings and transformations for downstream systems.
• Work with data stewards and governance teams.

Job description

The PIM Admin is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and operating the PIM platform, ensuring data structures, workflows, and system functionalities support business processes and data quality across the product data ecosystem.

2. Scope of the role

Focus area

PIM platform (e.g., P360) as the central system

Strong interaction with:

• o Master Data (MDM concepts & governance)
• o DAM (assets & metadata linking)
• o ERP / SAP integrations
• o Downstream applications (ABBp, eCommerce, exports)

3. Core responsibilities

From your internal roles:

• o Attributes (new fields creation)
• o Classifications (e.g., ETIM, eCl@ss)

• o Data structures supporting global + local data
• Configure local extensions (country attributes, assortments)

B. Data governance & quality support

Implement:

• o Mandatory fields
• o Data completeness checks

Support:

• o Data stewards
• o Data quality initiatives

enforces governance inside the tool (Does NOT define governance strategy, that’s governance lead / architect)

C. Workflow & process configuration

• o Product onboarding
• o Approval processes

Align workflows with:

• o Product lifecycle
• o Business processes

E.g.: Task assignment (global/local); Approval steps before publication

Support technical teams by:

• o Configuring mappings
• o Managing import/export templates

E. System operations & maintenance

Monitor:

• o Logs and errors
• o Performance (basic level)

Manage:

• o Configuration changes
• o Releases (in collaboration with IT)

Manage:

• o Roles & permissions (with junior admins)

Support users:

• o Troubleshooting issues

Configure:

• o Export templates (e.g., BMECat)
• o Data transformations

Ensure:

• o Correct data availability for downstream systems (Critical for: ABBp, eCommerce, Partner platforms)

H. Support for DAM & content linking

Ensure:

• o Correct linkage between products and digital assets

Manage:

• Metadata alignment (product asset) (e.g. Asset URLs correctly linked to products in PIM)

4. Role across the PIM–MD ecosystem

The Admin acts as a central operational bridge between:

Business users (product managers, LSOs)

Data governance teams

IT / integration teams

Ensures: The system reflects business needs, Data flows correctly across systems

5. Deliverables / outputs

• Configured data model
• Validated and consistent product data
• Working integrations (at configuration level)
• Export-ready datasets
