Job summary

The Hans Foundation, located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, invites applications for an Ambulance Driver to support the Mobile Medical Unit operations.

The role requires 3–7 years of driving experience, a heavy vehicle license, and knowledge of local routes and villages.

Contractual for 1 year, renewable, reporting to Project Coordinator; equal opportunity employer. You will perform pre‑trip inspections, maintain logs, and assist medical staff during camps.

Responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining the Mobile Ambulance with a focus on safety of equipment
• Movement of the MMU to planned villages according to route maps
• Performing daily pre‑trip and vehicle inspections
• Carrying out maintenance tasks on vehicles when necessary
• Filling fuel records and keeping fuel purchase logs
• Ensuring periodic servicing is completed and reported
• Maintaining the logbook and keeping the Mobile Ambulance clean
• Assist medical staff during mobile OPD/routine health camps or emergencies
• Undertaking other duties assigned by coordinating office management

JOB PURPOSE

Driving the Mobile Medical Unit and is responsible for movement to planned village according to the route maps and responsible for its maintenance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Duties include operating and maintaining office Mobile Ambulance with a focus on safety of expensive Equipment's installed in vehicle.
• Responsible for the MMU movement to the planned village, and route map.
• Performing daily pre‑trip and vehicle inspections.
• Performing maintenance tasks on the vehicles when necessary.
• Filling of fuel in the vehicles; and keep the record of fuel purchased.
• Ensuring that periodic scheduled vehicle servicing is completed and reported.
• Maintain the Logbook.
• Keeps the Mobile Ambulance clean inside and outside.
• Serves as a positive role model while working with Medical Staff/ Patient.
• At the start of your duty hours, you would check the vehicle’s brake system, electrical system, lubrication system and cooling system and tyres as well as prepare yourself for emergencies.
• Assist the coordinator health/medical officers during mobile OPD/routine health camps or in time of emergency.
• Undertake any other duties assigned time to by coordinating office management.

Educational Qualifications

10th/ 12th/ Graduation

Functional / Technical Skills and Relevant Experience & Other requirements (Behavioral, Language, Certifications etc.)
