Job Description - Physiotherapist

Role: Physiotherapist

Location: Bengaluru

Work Type: Full-time / Part-time / Freelance

Compensation: 25,000 75,000 per month,

depending on qualification, experience, clinical expertise and engagement model.

The Role

As a Physiotherapist at Karuna, you will provide home-based physiotherapy and rehabilitation based on the patient's clinical requirements and rehabilitation plan.

You will work closely with the clinical team and, where applicable, MBBS MD (PM&R) doctors to assess patients, deliver therapy, monitor progress and communicate relevant observations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person physiotherapy and functional assessments.
• Understand the patient's condition, limitations, goals and daily functional challenges.
• Deliver personalized physiotherapy sessions at the patient's home.
• Implement rehabilitation plans developed by the clinical team.
• Work with patients across:
• Musculoskeletal Health & Mobility
• Orthopaedic Recovery
• Healthy Ageing & Mobility
• Post-Hospital Recovery
• Postnatal Recovery
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training and functional activities.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding appropriate exercises, movement and safety.
• Monitor and document patient progress.
• Record relevant clinical observations after sessions.
• Communicate changes in the patient's condition or progress to the clinical team.
• Participate in periodic reassessments when required.
• Encourage patients to follow their prescribed home exercise programme.
• Maintain accurate digital patient records.
• Follow Karuna's clinical protocols, documentation standards and patient-safety practices.

Qualifications Required

• BPT or MPT from a recognized institution.
• Good understanding of physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently during home visits.
• Professional and ethical approach to patient care.
• Willingness to use digital tools for documentation and patient management.

Experience

We are particularly interested in:

BPT: 3-10+ years of experience preferred

MPT: 2+ years of experience preferred

However, the above experience requirements are NOT mandatory.

Candidates with less experience are welcome to apply if they demonstrate strong clinical fundamentals, assessment ability, communication skills and a genuine interest in rehabilitation.
