Role Description

The Physiotherapist will provide direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-surgical conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapies such as exercise prescription, manual therapy, and electrotherapy. The role also involves monitoring patient progress, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and educating patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and participation in clinic quality improvement activities are expected. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Shasti Physio Clinic in Chennai.

Qualifications

• Recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution; valid professional registration or license as required.
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurological, and sports-related conditions.
• Proficiency in exercise therapy, manual therapy techniques, electrotherapy modalities, and evidence-based physiotherapy interventions.
• Ability to educate and motivate patients, with clear communication skills for explaining treatment plans, home programs, and preventive care.
• Demonstrated capacity to maintain thorough clinical records, manage time effectively, and handle a diverse caseload in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Collaborative mindset, with willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team and participate in continuous learning and clinical research initiatives.
• Basic computer skills for electronic health records and documentation; familiarity with clinic management software is an advantage.
• Prior experience in outpatient physiotherapy or rehabilitation settings in Chennai or similar environments is preferred but not mandatory.
