Job summary

The Association of People with Disability in Bangalore North, India, is seeking a Physiotherapist (SPF) to lead early intervention services through partner NGOs. Qualifications

As a Physiotherapist – SPF in theEarly Intervention Program, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening andscaling quality rehabilitation services through partner organizations. You willmentor field therapists, build capacities, monitor service quality, and workalongside partner NGOs to ensure comprehensive, sustainable, and high-impactinterventions for Children with Special Needs (CwSN).

KeyResponsibilities:

1. Comprehensive Rehabilitation throughPartner Organizations

  • Supervise, monitor, and evaluate the early intervention (EI)therapy services delivered by partner organizations.
  • Guide partners to develop goal-based rehabilitation plans andimplement holistic therapy interventions.
  • Support functional and developmental outcomes for CwSN annuallythrough partner networks.

2. Capacity Building of Partner Staff

  • Conduct technical training and workshops for physiotherapists,community rehabilitation workers, and other partner staff.
  • Build and strengthen the technical competencies of partnerorganizations, ensuring quality service delivery at the community level.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing platforms among partners to promotecross-learning and adoption of best practices.

3. Monitoring, Evaluation, and QualityAssurance

  • Perform scheduled monitoring visits to partner organizations toassess therapy quality, outcomes, and adherence to protocols.
  • Provide feedback, mentorship, and action plans to partner teams to improve service efficiency and impact.
  • Develop monitoring tools, scorecards, and simple evaluation formatsfor partner use.

4. Strategic Partnership Management

  • Act as the key liaison between the Early Intervention program teamand partner organizations on all therapy-related matters.
  • Collaborate with program managers, technical teams, and partnerleadership for strategic planning, problem-solving, and continuousimprovement.
  • Strengthen communication channels between the program and partnersfor timely updates, issue resolution, and coordination.

5. Program Development and Innovation withPartners

  • Identify gaps and opportunities within partner rehabilitationprograms and co-create innovative solutions.
  • Promote the adoption of cost-effective, context-sensitive,community-friendly therapy models among partners.
  • Document success stories, models, and challenges from partnerorganizations to feed into strategic planning and reporting.

Accountability:

  • Report directly to the Manager regardingthe progress, challenges, and developments within Partner project.
  • Ensure alignment withorganizational goals, budget management, and operational protocols for theprogram.
  • Ensure transparency, ethicalconduct, and full compliance with the organization’s standards andpolicies.

RequiredQualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT/MPT).

3-4 years of experience in pediatric physiotherapy, preferably incommunity-based and partner-led models.

Strong understanding of early childhood development, rehabilitationpractices, and neurodevelopmental therapy.

Experience in mentoring and working closely with NGOs, CSOs, orpublic sector programs is highly desirable.
