Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Bangalore seeks an engineer to work on RFID, RTLS and warehouse automation. You will leverage Zebra MotionWorks, printers, readers and scanners to improve real-time visibility and issue resolution in large-scale operations.

Responsibilities include integrating robots, applying Industry 4.0 practices, and coordinating with Warehouse Management Systems and factory automation tech. 20% travel and relocation eligibility apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with RFID and RTLS technologies used in large-scale warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with Zebra MotionWorks, printers, readers and scanners.
• Knowledge of IoT, RFID, barcode scanning and real-time tracking in warehousing contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide working knowledge of Zebra hardware and software products (Zebra MotionWorks, printers, readers, scanners).
• Enable real-time visualization and issue resolution for warehouse operations.
• Integrate robots with material movement and support large-scale warehouse automation.
• Apply Industry 4.0 best practices in warehousing and related automation domains.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and factory automation technologies (parts storage/movement, real-time tracking, IoT tools, low-code tools).
• Familiarity with robots (e.g., Geek+ and Standard Robots).
• Contribute to warehouse layout concepts with mobile robotics and IoT-enabled systems.
• Work with IoT, RFID, barcode scanning, vision inspection systems, RTLS; basic networking concepts (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) and cloud basics.
