Qualifications

• 5+ years professional photo editing experience.
• Expert proficiency in Photoshop and Lightroom.

Role Overview

As a Photo Editor at oCommerce, you'll play a critical role in shaping how customers perceive our brands. Every image that reaches our website, advertisements, emails, and social media will pass through your hands. Your edits won't simply make images look "better"—they'll make them feel current, aspirational, and worthy of today's premium consumer brands. This role requires far more than technical Photoshop skills. You'll need an exceptional eye for color, lighting, composition, skin tones, retouching, and visual storytelling, combined with a deep understanding of current U.S. creative trends. You'll constantly ask yourself, "Would this look at home on the Instagram feed of a leading American brand?" You'll collaborate closely with photographers, designers, social media specialists, ecommerce managers, and creative leadership to ensure every asset is polished, consistent, and ready for every marketing channel. Our brands primarily serve customers in the United States, and our creative direction reflects the expectations of the U.S. fashion and ecommerce market—not local editing trends. We're looking for editors who regularly follow leading American brands, photographers, and creative studios. Your work should feel modern, clean, premium, and culturally relevant—never over-filtered, over-retouched, or visually dated. Technical proficiency is only half the job. Great photo editors understand taste. They know how to create imagery that feels aspirational, scroll-stopping, and aligned with the visual language of today's best U.S. brands.

Key Responsibilities

• 5+ years of professional photo editing experience.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
• Strong understanding of professional retouching techniques, color grading, masking, compositing, and non-destructive editing workflows.
• Experience editing ecommerce, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or consumer product photography.
• Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to maintain consistency across large batches of campaign imagery.
• Exceptional attention to detail and production accuracy.
• Experience preparing assets for both digital and print production.
• Strong organizational and file management skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating high-end commercial photo editing is required.
