Job summary

Caressant Care is seeking a passionate Personal Support Worker to join our team of care providers in Arthur, Ontario. This part-time role offers a starting wage of $27.79 per hour and follows the terms of the Collective Agreement.

The successful candidate will hold a PSW certificate, read and write in English, and be able to cope with the physical and emotional demands of caring for residents in our home-like setting.

Qualifications

• PSW certificate meeting Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act requirements.
• Ability to accept verbal and/or written direction.
• Capable of handling physical and emotional demands.
• Geriatric/long-term care experience is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficient in English.
• Punctual and reliable in daily duties.

What You Bring…

• Certificate of a Personal Support Worker program that meets the requirements of the Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act and its regulations
• Must be willing to accept verbal and/or written direction
• Able to cope with the physical and emotional demands of the position
• Geriatric, long-term care experience is beneficial
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills, able to read and write in the English language
• Punctual and reliable

The starting rate of pay is $27.79 per hour, and the terms and conditions are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
