Reports to: Performance Systems Manager
Type: Full-time | Residential | Fixed-Term (FIFA TDS Project)
The Performance Analyst will be responsible for delivering tactical and data-driven insights to support the holistic development of players and optimize team performance at the AIFF-FIFA-Telangana Talent Academy, Hyderabad. This role involves in-depth match and training analysis, coordination with technical and sports science staff, and contributing to the academy\'s long-term development objectives under the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS).
Key Responsibilities
- Match & Training Analysis: Record and analyze training sessions and matches using video and performance analysis tools.
- Identify and extract key tactical and technical performance indicators (KPIs).
- Generate actionable insights for coaches related to formations, transitions, pressing patterns, and set pieces.
- Player Development Monitoring: Track and document player-specific performance metrics and progression data.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Assist in highlighting strengths and areas for improvement using historical and comparative data.
- Video Feedback & Presentations: Develop customized video packages for individual player feedback and team review sessions.
- Support coaching staff during tactical meetings and briefings with visual insights.
- Maintain a digital video library with structured tagging and organized archives.
- Technology & Data Management: Operate performance analysis software (e.g., Hudl, Nacsport, Coach Paint, Dartfish, etc.).
- Manage video capture equipment and GPS tracking devices (if applicable).
- Ensure all data is safely stored, organized, and aligned with AIFF’s central performance monitoring system.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Submit performance and player reports to the Performance Systems Manager and technical team; coordinate with sports science, coaching, and medical departments for integrated analysis; contribute to AIFF-wide performance benchmarks and TDS reporting dashboards.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, Physical Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in football performance analysis.
- Proficiency in video analysis tools and spreadsheet/data platforms (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Strong understanding of football tactics and youth development pathways.
- Willingness to work full-time in a residential environment.
Preferred
- Experience in elite football academies or national development programs.
- Familiarity with GPS and data integration systems.
- Basic video editing or presentation design skills.
- Candidates with strong communication skills in English and Hindi (Telugu preferred).
