Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a techno-functional consultant with deep experience in PeopleSoft FSCM 8.x/9.x. The role requires hands-on work across PeopleCode, PeopleTools, Application Designer, and related components, including SQL/PS Queries and SDLC adherence.

The ideal candidate will analyze business requirements, perform fit/gap analysis, document specifications, test, and coordinate delivery within managed services environments. Strong finance domain knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of techno-functional hands-on experience as a consultant or analyst.
• Hands-on experience in PeopleCode, PeopleTools, Application Designer, Application Engine, AWE, Component Interface, Integration Broker, SQR.
• Good Knowledge on PeopleSoft FSCM 8.x or 9.x Applications, including GL, AP, PO, AM, TE & AR modules.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with initiative and ability to meet deadlines and end user expectations.
• Willing to work hands-on and in an Independent Contributor role.
• Experience on managed service projects covering the specified modules.
• Strong understanding of finance functional processes in the above modules.
• Moderate working knowledge of SQL queries and PS Queries.
• Strong understanding of SDLC in maintenance and implementation organizations.
• Proven skills in gathering/documenting business requirements, performing fit/gap analysis, and writing specs.
• Diagnose and resolve PeopleSoft related issues coordinating development, testing and delivery.

• Should be willing to work hands-on and IC (Independent Contributor) role.

• Having a strong understanding of standard development methodologies (Systems Development Life-cycle) in both maintenance and implementation organizations;
• Having a strong skills in gathering and documenting business requirements for systems enhancements, performing fit/gap analysis, and writing functional or technical specifications based on requirements;
• Proven skills in quality assurance, including creation of testing scripts and test execution;
• Diagnose and resolve PeopleSoft related issues to ensure the accuracy of business systems. Interact with business system users and understand the requirements, providing best possible solutions co-ordinate for development, test and delivery.
