Job summary

Neara is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist (APAC) to lead payroll operations across Bengaluru, Pune, and Chennai. This on-site role demands deep APAC regulatory knowledge, strong analytical abilities, and effective collaboration with auditors and internal teams.

The candidate will implement standardized payroll processes, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely, compliant payroll across the APAC region, driving efficiency and accuracy in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of payroll systems and software, including ADP, Workday, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and reports.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, management, and external partners.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee payroll operations across APAC countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and maintaining accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Develop and implement payroll processes and procedures, ensuring consistency and quality across the region.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and knowledge-sharing within the team.
  • Collaborate with external partners, including auditors and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and address any payroll-related queries or concerns.
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, working closely with internal stakeholders to address any issues or concerns.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including payroll data, employee information, and regulatory documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure payroll processes are accurate, compliant, and efficient.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, improving efficiency and reducing payroll-related costs.

The Senior Payroll Specialist (APAC) will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless payroll operations across the Asia region. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
