Job summary

Adtran Networks IT Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. seeks a Payroll Specialist to support international payroll operations across multiple countries and legal entities. You will collaborate with employees, HR, Finance, and external providers to deliver accurate, timely payroll while complying with local requirements.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, analytical thinking, and working in an international, collaborative environment. Prior experience with multi-country payroll is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of payroll, accounting, or finance experience.
• Experience with account reconciliations and payroll reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis abilities.
• CPP/FPC or similar payroll qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate global payroll operations across countries and entities.

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support our international payroll operations across multiple countries and legal entities. In this role, you will work closely with employees, HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to ensure payroll is delivered accurately, on time, and in line with local requirements. What you’ll do

• Global Payroll Operations Coordinate and support payroll processing across multiple countries and legal entities.
• Partner with external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
• Review and validate payroll inputs, employee transactions, and payroll outputs.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Help continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processes.
• Payroll Accounting Support payroll journal entries and accruals.
• Perform payroll-related account reconciliations.
• Review payroll liabilities and funding activities.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Partner with Finance to ensure payroll transactions are accurately reflected in financial records.
• Reporting & Analysis Prepare recurring payroll reports and analysis.
• Investigate payroll variances, trends, and unusual transactions.
• Support payroll-related financial reporting and ad hoc requests.
• Help turn payroll data into clear and meaningful insights.
• Compliance & Controls Support compliance with applicable local tax, labor, social security, and statutory requirements.
• Maintain strong payroll controls in line with internal policies and SOX requirements.
• Support internal and external payroll audits.
• Assist with payroll tax reporting and year-end activities.
• Maintain accurate and well-organized payroll documentation.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in payroll, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience with account reconciliations and financial or payroll reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data.
• Strong attention to detail with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
• Nice to have Experience with global or multi-country payroll operations.
• Exposure to payroll accounting and financial close activities.
• CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification), or another relevant payroll qualification.
