Job summary

DuPont in India (Hyderabad) is seeking a payroll/accounting professional to understand employee liabilities and their accounting treatment. You will analyze payroll journal requests, manage a functional mailbox, and maintain country-specific procedures while ensuring data confidentiality and adherence to IFRS/GAAP guidelines.

The role requires 1–2 years of payroll accounting experience and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• M.Com / MBA / ICWA inter / CA inter with 1–2 years full-time payroll or employee-related liability accounting experience.
• Experience with SAP FI as end user and solid accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payroll calculations for accuracy and process journal requests from payroll operations.
• Manage functional mailbox and maintain timely response (TAT).
• Maintain country-specific procedure lists covering accounting guidance.
• Ensure data confidentiality and protection of PII.
• Review IFRS, GAAP differences and accounting standards guidance.
• Review balance sheet and P/L items under ERL scope and assess impact.
• Perform monthly reconciliations with substantiations and clear unreconciled items.
• Support SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit queries from ERL perspective.
• Process manual journal entries for payroll transactions from operations.
• Clear bank shadow account recons for payroll postings.
• Clear open items in payroll accounts monthly.
• Support year-end audit activities and Flux analysis for payroll accounts.
• Be ready to take on project work with timely, high-quality execution.

Job Description

Understanding on employee related liabilities and their accounting treatment.

• Analyze the calculations for appropriateness and process the journal requests received from payroll operations.
• Manage functional mail box and live up to TAT.
• Maintain customized procedure list for each country covering accounting guidance.
• Ensure data confidentiality keeping PII in view.
• IFRS, GAAP differences & accounting standard guidelines.
• Review both B/S & P/L accounts which fall under ERL scope and analyze the impact.
• Perform & Review monthly reconciliations in blackline with relevant substantiations & make sure no un-reconciled transactions exists for reporting.
• SOX compliance, Internal controls & handle, support audit queries (external & internal) from ERL perspective.
• Process manual journal entries relating to payroll transactions received from operations team.
• Perform clearings for bank shadow accounts for transaction relating to payroll posting.
• Clear open items in payroll accounts on monthly basis.
• Support audit process as part of year end closing activity.
• Perform Flux analysis for all Payroll related Accounts (Balance Sheet & P/L).
• Readiness to pick up project assignments per requirement with timely actions & high quality.

Skill Sets / Experience

• M.com / MBA / ICWA inter/ /CA inter with 1-2 years full time experience of Payroll or Employee related liability accounting SAP (FI) end user experience & accounting knowledge.
• Should have working experience on Ms. Excel & Power point.
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Accounting flow in payroll area & R2R domain.
• Well versed with conference calls & timely e-mail action up.
