Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Patent Illustrator to join our Intellectual Property team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in preparing high-quality patent illustrations using Microsoft Visio, Microsoft PowerPoint, and AutoCAD, and have a solid understanding of US patent drafting requirements. The Patent Illustrator will work closely with patent attorneys and inventors to produce detailed and accurate drawings that comply with USPTO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Illustration Preparation: Create detailed, precise patent illustrations using Microsoft Visio, Microsoft PowerPoint, and AutoCAD in accordance with USPTO guidelines.
• Drafting Support: Collaborate with patent attorneys and inventors to understand the invention and produce accurate visual representations.
• Compliance: Ensure all illustrations comply with jurisdiction specific patent laws (US, EP, IN, etc.), regulations, and formatting requirements.
• Quality Control: Review and revise illustrations to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, inventors, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and address feedback.

Education / Professional Qualification and Work Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Graphic Design, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in patent illustration or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Microsoft PowerPoint, and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with US patent drafting and illustration standards.
• Knowledge of USPTO requirements for patent drawings.
