Job summary

EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) in Bengaluru is hiring a Senior Payroll Delivery professional to support global payroll engagements. The role involves partnering with EY engagement managers to drive payroll delivery and to support local operation teams.

You will also manage country payroll specifics, ensure timely outputs, and contribute to process improvements across multiple jurisdictions. This position emphasizes strong stakeholder engagement and data accuracy.

Senior -

The role supports the initiatives of the Global Payroll engagements. Responsible for service delivery support in conjunction with EY s engagement managers globally.

The opportunity

The Payroll Delivery Senior role provides subject matter expertise and support in payroll delivery to local Payroll operation teams. Opportunity to partner with the Global Payroll engagement teams to drive GDS Payroll delivery initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

• This role will be a liaison between the technology team, payroll processing country teams and the clients.


• Should have knowledge on Multi Country Payroll Operation


• Understands all phases of payroll processing. Should have knowledge on payroll inputs, processing, outputs and reports


• Participate in requirement gathering, converting requirements to technical specifications and technical delivery


• Should be able to support monthly operational deliveries


• Should be able to debug and resolve queries from clients / country payroll teams as required


• Knowledge on system interfaces between payroll systems


• Preparation of project plans and weekly status updates


• Assisting with other Ad Hoc requests as they come up

Skills and attributes for success

• Prior experience in managing payroll for specific countries, high volume and multiple clients payroll will be a plus.


• Exposure to multi-country payroll and payroll lifecycle in a Client service environment


• Good understanding of a few payroll tools/technologies


• Ability to quickly adapt to new tools


• Knowledge and hands on experience in Statutory and Pension contribution management


• Experience in developing cross functional teams in a multi-disciplinary practice.


• Proven ownership of delivering on strategic projects will be a plus


• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail


• Good experience on functional and product capabilities of ERPs like SAP, Oracle or Workday.


• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills


• Good Project management skills


• Strong client and stakeholder management skills


• A payroll related diploma/certificate may be advantageous, but not necessary


• Prior experience in tax accounting and finance would be beneficial, but not necessary


• Must demonstrate strong analytical skills
