In House Paralegal (Mammoet India)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented In-House Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will assist in-house legal counsel in managing legal documentation, record keeping, and ensuring compliance with corporate governance. This role requires excellent persuasive skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Review and file legal documents such as board resolutions and key corporate documents.
- Assist legal counsel with board meetings, shareholder meetings, and other corporate events.
- Maintain and organize legal files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external parties involved in legal matters.
- Manage and coordinate schedules, appointments, and deadlines for the legal team.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents.
- Stay updated on changes in corporate secretarial framework with respect to the corporation's operations in various jurisdictions in the Middle East and Asia Pacific region.
- Provide corporate secretarial support, including preparing board meeting agendas, minutes, and resolutions with notarisation/Apostille and ministry/embassy attestation as required.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and maintain statutory records.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as auditors, regulators, liquidators and shareholders.
- Support the legal team in managing corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- Qualified in Paralegal Studies/Corporate secretarial or a related field.
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in an in-house legal department or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Experience in corporate secretarial functions and knowledge of corporate governance.
- Familiarity with corporate law and regulatory compliance in a multinational context.
