Job summary

Cerebra is seeking an experienced Palo Alto Security Engineer in Bengaluru with 6-8 years of experience in network and cybersecurity. You will work on Palo Alto Firewalls, Cortex XSIAM, and ADEM to monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents across the environment.

The role requires hands-on expertise in firewall administration, security policies, and threat detection, with collaboration across SOC and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Cortex XSIAM.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, NAT, VPN, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS.
• Experience in security monitoring, threat detection and incident response.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Palo Alto Security Engineer with 6-8 years of experience in network and cybersecurity technologies. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Cortex XSIAM, Cortex security solutions, and Palo Alto Digital Experience Management (ADEM).

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks Firewalls.
• Manage firewall security policies, NAT, VPN, routing, and network security configurations.
• Work with Cortex XSIAM for security monitoring, threat detection, investigation, and incident response.
• Monitor and analyze security alerts, events, logs, and potential threats.
• Perform threat investigation and support security incident response activities.
• Work with Palo Alto ADEM (Autonomous Digital Experience Management) for digital experience monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Analyze network and endpoint-related security events and identify potential security risks.
• Perform troubleshooting of connectivity, firewall, security policy, and application access issues.
• Support firewall rule reviews, policy optimization, and security compliance activities.
• Collaborate with SOC, network, infrastructure, and application teams to resolve security incidents.
• Participate in security improvements, vulnerability remediation, and operational automation initiatives.
• Prepare technical documentation and operational reports.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewall.
• Experience with Cortex XSIAM.
• Experience with Palo Alto ADEM.
• Strong knowledge of Network Security and Firewall Administration.
• Experience in security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.

Good to Have
