Qualifications

• BSc Nursing degree or equivalent registered nursing qualification.
• Experience in operation theatre nursing preferred.
• Ability to monitor vitals and respond to emergencies promptly.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the operation theatre, adhering to protocols.
• Assist surgeons and anesthetists during procedures, maintaining sterility and instrument availability.
• Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after surgery; address changes or emergencies.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room; ensure instruments are sterilized and equipment functioning.
• Implement infection control and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
• Document clinical and operative details in patient records per hospital policies.
• Support anesthesia team with administration and monitoring of anesthesia.
• Provide wound care management post-operation and educate on recovery instructions.
• Collaborate with the surgical team for a cohesive, efficient working environment.
