Job summary

Alike Thoughts is seeking an experienced Oracle VBCS Developer to build and integrate cloud-based enterprise apps using Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service. You will design responsive web/mobile apps, build business objects and service connections, and integrate with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and other systems.

The role requires strong JavaScript, HTML and CSS skills, plus deep knowledge of VBCS objects, flows and security.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on Oracle VBCS experience

Job Title: Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Oracle VBCS Developer with strong hands‑on experience in Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) for developing, customizing, integrating, and supporting cloud‑based enterprise applications.

The candidate should have experience in building responsive web applications, developing business objects, consuming REST APIs, and integrating VBCS applications with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and other enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS).


• Develop responsive web and mobile applications using Visual Builder.


• Create and configure Business Objects, Business Rules, Variables, Actions, and Service Connections.


• Develop application pages, flows, layouts, and reusable components.


• Integrate VBCS applications with REST/SOAP APIs and external applications.


• Develop integrations with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.


• Consume and configure REST APIs using VBCS service connections.


• Implement client‑side and server‑side validations.


• Configure security, roles, authentication, and authorization.


• Work with JSON, REST APIs, HTTP methods, and API payloads.


• Develop custom JavaScript solutions where required.


• Perform application testing, debugging, and performance optimization.


• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical solutions.


• Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, integration teams, and stakeholders.


• Participate in requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support.


• Maintain technical documentation and development standards.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle VBCS / Visual Builder Cloud Service.


• Experience developing web applications using Oracle Visual Builder.


• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and REST integrations.


• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications integration.


• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.


• Experience with VBCS Business Objects.


• Knowledge of Service Connections, Variables, Action Chains, and Page Flows.


• Understanding of application security and role-based access.


• Experience in debugging and troubleshooting VBCS applications.

Good to Have

• Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).


• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP / HCM / SCM.


• Experience with Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VB Studio).


• Knowledge of Groovy scripting.


• Experience with CI/CD and Git.


• Knowledge of SOAP Web Services.


• Experience with Oracle ATP / Autonomous Database.


• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and other API authentication mechanisms.


• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.
