Job summary

Citi is seeking an Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst in Chennai to contribute to application systems design, development, and deployment. The role covers analysis, programming, and collaboration with technology teams to deliver integrated P2P solutions.

The candidate should have 5–8 years of experience in Oracle-based ERP environments, strong PL/SQL skills, and the ability to handle deadlines under pressure in a complex financial setting.

  • Conduct tasks related to applications development and model development.
  • Work on all phases of development process and provide user/operational support.
  • Analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, and judge solutions.
  • Recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analyses.
  • Coordinate with users/clients and technology groups on issues and solutions.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely BRDs, testing support, and production migration.

Job description

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct tasks related to applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas
  • To work on all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
  • Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
  • Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality
  • Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Job Duties
  • Develop AP interfaces, conversions, reports, and customizations.
  • Work with Open Interface tables and standard import programs.
  • Build PL/SQL packages, Oracle Reports/XML Publisher outputs.
  • Support inbound/outbound integrations (SFTP/API/SOA/Concurrent Programs).
  • Tune SQL and resolve production defects.
  • Will be responsible for working with Operations/Finance and business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge on AI tools, application of AI enablement for P2P processes
  • Expected to have very strong knowledge on Oracle ERP application 12.2.9
  • Strong subject matter expertise in Accounts Payables, Fixed assets & Project accounting modules and integrations of P2P with other payment systems.
  • Good knowledge on General Ledger would be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge on P2P Workflow systems, tools and be able to advise on the technical solution for Oracle workflow solutions for invoice processing/ingestion.
  • Should have excellent techno-functional knowledge on aspects of integrations, ability to work with cross functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions for complex integrations.
  • Should have Hands on experience in Oracle debugging techniques, excellent problem-solving skills.
  • This role is expected to Co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of BRDs, testing support, resolution of UAT issues and production migration support.
  • Should provide analytical support by writing complex queries.
