Job summary

First American (India) is seeking a seasoned Functional Consultant (Oracle Apps) to translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for EBS R12 implementations. You will evaluate solutions, design interfaces to third-party apps, and validate architecture with the Tech Lead and project teams.

The role demands strong experience in AR, CM, GL (R2R), AIM methodology, and the ability to work in global teams with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as functional consultant in Oracle ERP full lifecycle.
• Experience in AR, CM, GL (R2R) modules.
• Strong requirement gathering, gap analysis, design reviews.
• Understanding of SLA and multi-org accounting.
• Experience with AIM methodology and functional spec/testing docs.
• Analytical skills for root-cause analysis and patch impact analysis.
• Troubleshooting Oracle app functionality, setup and configuration.
• SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Team player with ability to work in global teams.
• Collaboration with DEV & DBA teams.
• Exposure to automated testing tools; Agile is an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

5 to 8 yrs

Job Description:

Professional with minimum 5 years' experience in translating high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications. Evaluate the technical and functional solutions to meet the business needs and ensure the solution is captured in the technical design document. Validate the design of system architecture, including Oracle Applications modules, extensions and interfaces to third party applications. Work with Technical Lead and project execution teams to solve cross-functional issue, recommend and ensure proper functional alternatives have been selected and implemented.

Mandatory Skills / Requirement:

• At least 5 years of experience as functional consultant in implementing full lifecycle global Oracle ERP implementation.
• Experience in implementation & maintenance of following Oracle modules.

Minimum 5 years of experience in AR, CM, GL (R2R module) [

• Must have strong experience in functional designing including requirement gathering, gap analysis, review of functional documents and functional testing.
• Deep understanding of accounting concepts, Oracle Financials architecture, including multi-org and sub-ledger accounting (SLA),
• Have good knowledge of Oracle AIM methodology and experience in writing functional solution design and testing documents.
• Have analytical expertise in analyzing recurring issues, performing root cause analysis, functional Patch Impact Analysis and providing workaround solutions, if applicable.
• Sound in trouble shooting - Oracle application functionality, Setup, Configuration, Process and Data Issue.
• Exposure to automated testing tool, Agile is added advantage.
• Strong functional knowledge of R2R track modules &: Accounts Receivables, Cash Management & General Ledger]
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with ability to take on multiple assignments in customer focused environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DEV & DBA teams.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and in global team setups.
• Basis knowledge of SQL is added advantage.
