Job summary

Birlasoft in Pune, India seeks an Oracle CPQ QA Tester Consultant to translate complex business requirements into detailed test cases and execute functional, integration, and UAT testing.

You will log defects in Jira/Zephyr Scale, validate CPQ modules like Configuration, Commerce, Pricing, and Document Engine, and collaborate with ERP, CRM teams in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• 7-12 years of experience in QA testing for Oracle CPQ or functional consulting.
• Deep knowledge of CPQ Configuration, Commerce, Pricing, and Document Engine modules.
• Foundational SQL, XML/XSL, JavaScript fundamentals for testing logic.
• Experience with defect tracking in Jira/Zephyr Scale and Agile/Scrum.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business requirements into detailed test cases, scripts, and scenarios.
• Validate product configuration, pricing rules, and approval workflows in CPQ.
• Execute Functional, Integration, Regression, System, and UAT testing.
• Identify, log, track, and manage defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with ERP/CRM teams and stakeholders to ensure quality release readiness.

Oracle CPQ - QA Tester Consultant - 5A(Offshore)

Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Execution:

• Test Design: Translate complex business requirements into detailed, structured test cases, scripts, and scenarios.
• Translate sales processes into test scenarios to validate product configuration, pricing rules, and approval workflows.
• Execution: Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, System, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
• Defect Management: Identify, log, track, and manage defects through resolution using tools like Jira or Zephyr Scale.

Functional Validation:

• Product Configuration: Validate product catalogues, dynamic BOM (Bill of Materials), and configuration constraints.
• Pricing & Quoting: Test complex pricing logic, discounts, tiered pricing, and approval workflows.
• Document Engine: Verify the accuracy and formatting of generated proposals, quotes, and contract documents.

Integration Testing:

• Ecosystem Checks: Test end-to-end data flow between Oracle CPQ and CRM platforms (e.g., D365, Salesforce, Oracle CX).
• ERP & Middleware: Ensure seamless synchronization of orders, pricing, and master data with ERP and middleware systems.

Collaboration & Support:

• Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitate defect triage meetings and communicate testing status to developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.

• Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) process.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 6 to 12 years
• Hands‑on experience in Oracle CPQ testing or functional consulting.
• CPQ Modules: Deep functional knowledge of CPQ Configuration, Commerce, Pricing, and Document Engine modules.
• Technical Basics: Foundational knowledge of SQL, BML,Language), XML/XSL, and JavaScript to understand the underlying logic during testing.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) processes, specifically in industries like Manufacturing, Healthcare, or High-Tech.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent written/verbal communication, and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Tools: Familiarity with test management tools (Jira, Xray, HP ALM) and enterprise ticketing systems.
