Team Overview

The Global Treasury team manages liquidity, funding, and banking relationships across regions and business lines. The team partners closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial control, operational efficiency, and compliance while driving automation, integration, and continuous improvement across the firm’s global treasury infrastructure.

Position Summary

The role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities performed by the team, hiring, training, and establishing priorities. This role provides frequent exposure to various business leaders and the opportunity to drive impactful changes.

  • The Assistant Vice President will lead treasury vertical(s) supporting global teams, oversee end-to-end operational processes, and play a pivotal role in driving strategic transformation initiatives.
  • This individual will manage a high‑performing team, lead key automation and system integration projects, and serve as a critical liaison across global Treasury, Finance, Operations, Technology, and external banking partners.
  • The ideal candidate combines technical treasury expertise, project execution capability, and strong leadership and communication skills to influence outcomes across regions and functions.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead treasury operations vertical(s), ensuring delivery excellence, control adherence, and high performance.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a collaborative, high‑accountability culture.
  • Establish clear priorities, performance goals, and development plans aligned with global objectives.
  • Strategic Projects & Transformation
  • Drive global treasury transformation initiatives including automation, process optimization, and system integrations.
  • Partner with Technology and Operations teams to implement digital solutions improving efficiency, control, and scalability.
  • Support global standardization of treasury processes and policies, embedding best practices across geographies.
  • Treasury Operations & Controls
  • Own capital call and management fee reconciliation for private markets, including research and resolution of unidentified funds.
  • Own FX reconciliation between counterparties and internal system and partnering with Technology to advance automation of this process.
  • Own preparation of transfers between internal accounts and the capital call accounts.
  • Maintain and reconcile cashbooks for funds on a monthly basis.
  • Generate and maintain cash‑balance and transaction reports (including via Hazeltree), including the weekly APAC cash balance report and transaction/position reports configured to stakeholder requirements.
  • Own preparation of credit wires and partnering with Technology and Operations to transition this workflow to straight‑through processing (STP).
  • Oversee callback processes for funding beneficiaries and vendors across APAC, EMEA, and US regions.
  • Review and certify funding beneficiaries on internal system.
  • Overseeing and supporting third party admins operations as needed.
  • Oversee maintenance of vendor banking details (including on behalf of Avega) in Coupa.
  • Own audit requests related to PE funds reporting and FX reconciliation, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with global Treasury leadership, leadership across functions, fund controllers, and technology teams to align on priorities and deliverables.
  • Act as a key point of escalation for issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external banking partners and counterparties.
  • Collaborate across regions (U.S., EMEA, APAC) to deliver consistent, high‑quality treasury services.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; professional certification (e.g., CTP, CFA, CA, CPA) preferred.
  • 10-12 years of experience in treasury, cash management, or financial operations within a global financial institution or asset manager.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing global processes or projects.
  • Strong understanding of treasury workflows, accounting principles, and risk control frameworks.
  • Experience with treasury systems and tools such as S4Hana, Coupa, Workiva, Hazeltree, Smartsheet, and Excel is preferred, not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated success driving automation, process transformation, or system integration
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across senior leadership levels.
  • Ability to work across time zones with a global mindset, balancing strategic priorities with operational rigor.
