Job summary

Growth For Impact in Mumbai seeks an experienced ESG and Operational Risk professional to strengthen the bank's risk controls and governance related to ESG. You will help integrate ESG into ORM, develop metrics, and partner with stakeholders.

You will own policy documents, ensure adherence, oversee reporting, and lead change‑the‑bank initiatives, while coordinating with the Reputational Risk and ESG teams and the Mumbai site.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in financial sector analysis and operational risk.
• Experience in ESG-related risk and controls in the financial sector.
• Strong senior stakeholder management and the ability to challenge where required.
• People management and coaching skills.

Job description

ROLE

• Supporting the continued integration of ESG into the Bank’s operational risk control frameworks, including scenarios, the thematic approach with controls and metrics, and contextual data.
• Ongoing development and monitoring of the Operational Risk framework related to ESG.
• Ownership of the associated ESG and reputational risk policy documents.
• Ensuring policy adherence across the ESG and reputational risk space.
• Managing associated ESG and risk reporting.
• Setting minimum control/governance standards across ESG and reputational risk.
• Working closely with the Reputational Risk and ESG team and respective ORM ESG leads on framework changes, and with the Mumbai team on framework adherence and reporting.
• Supporting Reputational Risk activities, including framework enhancements, governance and reporting, and coordination of policy adherence and issue remediation.
• Building relationships with key stakeholders across businesses and control functions.
• Leading ESG change‑the‑bank projects.
• Supporting responses to audit and regulatory queries across the ORM ESG and reputational risk landscape and closing associated audit and regulatory findings.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5–8 years of experience in the financial sector in analysis and risk roles within operational risk.
• Demonstrable experience in an ESG‑related risk and controls focused role in the financial sector.
• Excellent senior stakeholder management skills with the ability to build constructive partnerships and challenge where required.
