LOCAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Role Objective/Purpose of the Role
  • This role will report to the Sr.Manager-Operations and will have an equal emphasis on operations, improvements and new product launch.
  • Candidate will work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations and/or data requires appropriate action and engagement with internal and external peers.
  • The ideal candidate will have manufacturing leadership experience and a solid Lean Manufacturing background.
  • An appropriate experience with verifiable understanding of lean methodology and practical application are of the utmost importance.
Primary Responsibilities
Daily Operations
  • Team Management : appropriate staffing, maintaining working environment according to Environmental, Safety & Health (EHS) standards, detect and advise training needs, participate in career management initiatives, etc, manage and supervise team members /associates as assigned.
  • Implement action plans in order to improve productivity
  • Owning all the PDQCSM (Production, Delivery, Quality, Cost, Safety, and Morale) scorecard measures for the department and Safety, Morale, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), Capacity, and Cost
  • Ensure compliance to the Quality Assurance capability program
  • Coordinate with Planning team to meet all customer standards.
  • Owning the OPEX budget and material yield savings initiatives for beauty operations
  • Oversee maintenance of all physical plant cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Meet established specifications concerning cycle time, delivery, quality, quantity and costs;
  • Implement preventative and corrective measures in the production process to assure that customer demands are properly met;
Improvement
  • Build and maintain the foundation for continuous improvement by ensuring the effective functioning of transformation activities aligned to MECS
  • Ensure Smooth implementation of ITM projects
  • Own Autonomous maintenance capability system for the Module
  • Learn, use, and become proficient in all the Reliability programs.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND/OR RELATED EXPERIENCE
Education

BE Chem Engg (Preferable) or any other relevant Degree

Experience

9-13 years of experience

Functional Skills
  • Strong work experience in FMCG industry
  • Strong expertise in handling Packaging machines
  • Knowledge of a Quality management system is required;
  • Knowledge of Drug and cosmetic act & Legal metrology requirements
  • Operational knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Production methods (Kanban, 5S, Hoshin, VMI )
  • At least 4-5 years of production experience, handling beauty& Personal care products or relevant experience.
  • At least 4-5 years team management experience
General Skills
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies
  • Ability to maintain and emphasis quality and safety initiatives in a demanding environment
