Job summary

IBU Consulting in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India is seeking an Ontology & Knowledge Graph developer to build semantic models and reference data capabilities for our life sciences data platform. The role focuses on ontology design, standards development, and integration with downstream consumption layers.

You will work with RDF/OWL/SPARQL, SQL, and graph databases, leveraging Databricks or Snowflake data engineering skills as a plus, and with tools such as SciBite, TopBraid, and Progress Semaphore

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in ontology modelling and taxonomy design.
• Proficiency in RDF/OWL/SPARQL and graph-based modelling.
• Strong SQL and data engineering experience with Databricks or Snowflake.
• Experience with graph databases and data ingestion patterns.
• Familiarity with domain knowledge in Life Sciences is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy ontology and reference data capabilities in the target RDM platform.
• Enable semantic modelling and standards development for ingestion pipelines.
• Collaborate with downstream consumption layers and cross-functional teams.
• Define reference data standards and data models for domain entities.
• Work with tools like SciBite, TopBraid, Progress Semaphore.

Primary Skill: RDF/OWL/SPARQl , SQL, Graph database experience, Databricks/snowflake data engineering will be plus

Tools: SciBite, TopBraid, Progress Semaphore.
