Responsibilities

Support daily operational activities across OCI Dev, UAT and Production environments.
Help the OCI Lead Engineer manage compute, storage, networking and security resources.
Monitor OCI services for availability, performance and capacity.
Respond to incidents, service requests and alerts within defined SLAs.
Perform VM provisioning, scaling and configuration changes.
Support application deployments and releases with development teams.
Assist with OS, middleware, database, OCI and application patching.
Carry out backup, restore and recovery tasks under the guidance of the OCI Lead Engineer.
Assist with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) operations and testing.
Implement approved access requests, IAM changes and security controls.
Maintain operational documentation, SOPs and runbooks.
Take part in on‑call support, planned maintenance and change activities.
Escalate technical issues to the OCI Lead Engineer, Architect or database teams.
Follow security, compliance and operational best practices.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated OCI Engineer to support the OCI Lead Engineer in running day‑to‑day operations of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments across Development, UAT and Production. This is a hands‑on operations role. You will focus on monitoring, incident resolution and operational support while working closely with application, database and infrastructure teams to keep cloud services stable and secure.

What You Will Do

Support daily operational activities across OCI Dev, UAT and Production environments
Help the OCI Lead Engineer manage compute, storage, networking and security resources
Monitor OCI services for availability, performance and capacity
Respond to incidents, service requests and alerts within defined SLAs
Perform VM provisioning, scaling and configuration changes
Support application deployments and releases with development teams
Assist with OS, middleware, database, OCI and application patching
Support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and other enterprise applications hosted on OCI
Carry out backup, restore and recovery tasks under the guidance of the OCI Lead Engineer
Assist with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) operations and testing

Maintain operational documentation, SOPs and runbooks

What You Bring

Hands‑on experience or strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Experience supporting Development, UAT and Production environments
Understanding of OCI compute, storage, networking and security services
Familiarity with Linux and Windows server administration
Exposure to Oracle Database administration and operations
Experience supporting enterprise applications. Oracle EBS exposure is preferred
Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Exposure to Bash, Python or other scripting and automation tools
Willingness to learn Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
Good communication and coordination skills
