Job summary

CODERS BRAIN is seeking an experienced OBIEE Administrator to manage installation, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning across Linux/Unix environments. You will lead high-availability configurations, security, and usage tracking while coordinating with offshore teams.

The role requires deep OBIEE expertise, WebLogic administration, and ODI or Informatica experience, along with strong SQL/PLSQL skills and a drive to deliver robust BI solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of exclusive OBIEE Administrator experience.
• Deep OBIEE 11g/12c/OAS suite, WebLogic Server admin, and ODI or Informatica admin.
• Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, and data warehousing knowledge.
• Solid Linux/Unix shell scripting for automation.
• Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate with offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Installation, upgrades, patching of OBIEE and WebLogic on Linux/Unix.
• Migrate RPD and Web Catalog objects across DEV/QA/PROD using Catalog Manager and WLST scripts.
• Monitor performance and tune JVM, cache, and reports performance.
• Configure clustering, load balancing, and Node Manager for HA.

OBIEE Administrator:

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Maintenance

• Installation & Upgrades:Install, configure, patch, and upgrade OBIEE 11g/12c/OAS and WebLogic Server on Linux/Unix environments.
• Environment Migration:Migrate RPD (Metadata repository) and Web Catalog objects across different environments (DEV, QA, PROD) using Catalog Manager and WLST scripts.
• Performance Tuning:Monitor system performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), tune JVM settings, manage cache (cache seeding/purging), and resolve bottlenecks in reports and dashboards.
• High Availability:Configure clustering, load balancing, and Node Manager for high availability and failover.

Security & User Management

• Authentication & Authorization:Integrate OBIEE with LDAP/Active Directory (MSAD) for user authentication and manage authorization through Application Roles and Groups.
• Object & Data Security:Implement data-level security (Row-Level Security) and object-level security within the RPD.
• Usage Tracking:Setup and maintain usage tracking to analyze report usage, user activity, and performance trends.

Technical Support & Development Support

• Troubleshooting:Act as the L3 support for resolving complex production incidents related to system availability, data issues, or report failures.
• MUDE Management:Implement and manage Multi-User Development Environments (MUDE) for parallel RPD development.
• BI Publisher/iBots:Configure and troubleshoot BI Publisher, Delivers (iBots), and Bursting for scheduled report delivery.
• Documentation:Create and update technical documentation for system configurations, disaster recovery plans, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience:5+ years of exclusive experience as an OBIEE Administrator.
• Core Knowledge:Deep expertise in OBIEE 11g/12c/OAS suite, WebLogic Server administration, and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or Informatica administration.
• Database Skills:Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, and data warehousing concepts.
• OS Knowledge:Strong experience with Linux/Unix shell commands and scripting for automation.
• Soft Skills:Proven ability to lead projects, work with offshore teams, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle BI Certification.
• Experience with BI Apps (OBIA) - Finance, HR, Supply Chain analytics.
• Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Cognos)
