Job summary

Sulzer in Mumbai seeks a Product Development Engineer to build and improve NX tools, create 3D models, and generate drawings using NX Open Interface and C#. This early‑career role requires applying theory to real projects and collaborating with senior engineers.

You will extend software in C#.net, debug, document, and follow the SDLC while updating knowledge of NX tools and 3D/2D CAD. English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with software development interest.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in mechanical engineering.
• 3 years of experience in developing NXOpen applications using C#.
• Experience in software design, programming, debugging, documentation and testing.
• Exposure to Agile software development methodology and Azure DevOps is beneficial.
• Experience with 3D and 2D parametric CAD and expression handling.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in surface modelling.
• Information analysis, structured problem solving, efficient communication and teamwork.
• Good English skills (written and verbal) required.
• Experience in Turbo Machinery Engineering or willingness to develop in this domain.

About the role Job Summary The Product Development Engineer is responsible for improving or developing new products, components, equipment, systems, technologies, or processes. This role ensures that research and design methodologies meet scientific and engineering standards and supports the organization in achieving technical, functional, and cost targets. This job profile is intended for early-career professionals who apply broad theoretical knowledge and require the ability to investigate and analyze problems. Solutions are typically discussed/verified with a more senior member.

Purpose of the job The Engineering Tools Group has the responsibility to provide the global engineering departments with software solutions supporting engineering processes. To complete our team, we are looking for a motivated and committed NXOpen engineer for development of NX Tools applications.

• Experience with 3D and 2D parametric CAD and expression handling
