Job summary

The Hans Foundation is expanding its Hans Wellness Centre initiative in Ghaziabad (UP) and seeks an ANM to support school health services. The role involves screening students, assisting doctors, and maintaining digital health records to improve child health outcomes.

Candidates should have ANM training with Delhi Nursing Council registration, 2–3 years of pediatric field experience, and strong Hindi communication to engage with children, parents, and school staff.

Qualifications

• ANM training or equivalent with registration.
• 2–3 years of field/clinic experience, preferably in pediatrics.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in Hindi.

Responsibilities

• Support the effective functioning of Hans Wellness Centre in the School.
• Conduct physical screening of students in the school/s assigned.
• Assist doctor in providing Primary Healthcare Services.
• Maintain digital health records (update the App and keep track of the same).
• Documentation of the work undertaken and assigned by management.
• Maintain records of students and provide health education.
• Provide medical assistance in other schools/community centres (if any) as well as in the cluster, as and when needed.
• Provide preventive, promotive, and curative health care services under the supervision of a Medical Officer.
• Connect with parents/guardians: participants in Parents Teacher Meetings.
• Home visit as per the instructions from the Medical Officer / Project Manager.
• Attend meetings and seminars as and when required.
• Any other work assigned by THF.

About Project

The Hans Wellness Centre (Health services for students) has been conceptualised with a focus on school students' mental and physical well-being. The health professionals working on this project would be the backbone to steer the project toward the intended impact and the outcomes. The Hans Foundation has started its kind initiative to provide improvement in the physical, mental, and social well-being of school-age children in 54 schools of Delhi NCR, to help towards leading a healthy life. Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages and Sustainable Development and Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. THF is willing to implement this unique project which is the need of the hour in Govt and private schools of Delhi NCR.

1. General Information

• Location of Job: Ghaziabad (UP)
• Project Name: Hans Wellness Centre
• Type of Employment: Contractual for a period of one-year, renewable basis on performance/requirements

• Reporting to: Medical Officer from THF, and Nodal teacher/principal in the school.

2. Duties & Responsibilities

4. Educational Qualifications

• Auxiliary Midwifery (ANM) course OR

5. Functional / Technical Skills and Relevant Experience & Other requirements (Behavioral, Language, Certifications etc.)

• Experience working in the field/clinic for 2-3 years, preferably in the Pediatrics department.
• Candidate must have good communication skills in Hindi

Candidate with prior experience in the social development sector/community-based project would be preferred.
