Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer Node.js AI & Cloud

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and deliver scalable cloud-based applications using AWS, Docker and Microservices architecture.

The candidate will play an important role in building and enhancing our Wealth Management product, working closely with Product Managers and cross-functional engineering teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in NodeJS, ReactJS, AWS, Microservices, SQL and DevOps, along with practical experience using AI-powered development tools and LLM technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable and highly available cloud applications using AWS, Docker and Microservices.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and develop robust REST APIs for microservice‑based applications.
• Define appropriate technology stacks and database solutions, including SQL/NoSQL technologies.
• Design and implement efficient relational database schemas using Liquibase.
• Develop high-performance and responsive front‑end applications using ReactJS.
• Develop reusable, maintainable and testable code using NodeJS, ReactJS and Python.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Follow DevOps practices for continuous integration, deployment and delivery.
• Conduct code reviews, pair programming, unit testing and technical documentation.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives and other ceremonies.
• Apply Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) principles with a focus on high cohesion and low coupling.
• Promote an AI‑first software development approach across engineering workflows.
• Use Claude Code, Anthropic Claude API, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, testing and development acceleration.
• Mentor team members on responsible AI usage, prompt engineering and AI‑assisted testing.
• Explore and integrate LLM‑powered capabilities into product features and engineering processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS, Docker and Microservices architecture.
• Strong expertise in NodeJS.
• Strong front‑end development experience with ReactJS.
• Good knowledge of Python is an advantage.
• Strong experience with SQL and Redis.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL.
• Knowledge of AWS Athena is preferred.
• Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools.
• Strong understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and developing microservices.
• Good understanding of Domain‑Driven Design, cohesion and coupling.
• Strong unit testing and debugging skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

AI / GenAI Skills

• Hands‑on experience using AI coding assistants or Generative AI tools in daily software development.
• Experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar AI‑powered development environments.
• Experience using AI tools for code generation, refactoring, debugging and test generation.
• Good understanding of Prompt Engineering.
• Knowledge of LLM APIs such as Anthropic Claude or OpenAI.
• Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) is a strong advantage.
• Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into production applications is preferred.
