Job description

Azim Premji Foundation works across India to help build a fair, just and caring society, with a strong focus on education and health. It is starting a Network Hospitals programme to work with public-spirited, charitable hospitals across the country. The programme gives these hospitals some grant support, along with wider help to strengthen their services. This help can mean filling key gaps in services, linking hospitals with each other, technology support, quality standards, and bringing in specialist care through travelling doctors and telemedicine.

Role

As Network Support Officer, you will help make the programme's services work on the ground in each hospital in the network. You will work with internal teams, outside partners and the hospitals themselves to set up quality standards, run telemedicine, arrange specialist doctor visits and connect hospitals with one another. You will also keep track of the data from this work and turn it into reports, so the team can see how the programme is doing.

Responsibilities
  • Set up specific services in hospitals, such as quality standards, telemedicine platforms and specialist doctor visits.
  • Coordinate between hospitals in the network so they can support each other.
  • Support network managers to develop, record and share protocols and frameworks.
  • Visit and engage with hospitals to check how well these protocols and standards are being followed.
  • Work with the technical team, consultants and hospitals to keep services like telemedicine running smoothly.
  • Coordinate with consultants and technical specialists whenever hospitals need their help.
  • Manage the data that comes from these activities.
  • Analyse this data and prepare reports that show how each part of the programme is going.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree, preferably in hospital administration or hospital management.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the healthcare or hospital sector.
  • Experience in operations, preferably in charitable or public hospitals.
  • A good understanding of how hospitals run, especially charitable and public hospitals.
  • Experience in hospital administration, quality improvement or hospital systems strengthening is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with teams from many different fields and with outside experts.
  • Willingness to travel a lot for work.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and solve problems, on your own or with others.
  • Full-time role with Azim Premji Foundation, one of India's largest philanthropic organisations.
  • Help shape a new programme from its early stages.
  • Work closely with charitable and public hospitals across India and see the direct effect on patient care.
  • Learn from specialists, consultants and technical experts in hospital quality, telemedicine and health systems.
