Job summary

Optimantix Global Private Limited in Mumbai (India) is seeking a network engineer to design and protect our national backbone. You will configure BGP sessions, optimize routing across India, and manage peering with transit providers and IXPs.

Responsibilities include tuning inline DDoS scrubbing appliances, maintaining high availability across redundant fibers, and enforcing robust firewall policies across L3/4/7.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of BGP routing and IXPs.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper/Arista devices.
• Expertise in DDoS mitigation, traffic scrubbing and stateful inspection firewalls.

Role Overview

Design and protect our multi-terabit network backbone. Configure BGP peering sessions, maintain DDoS mitigation scrubbing centers, and optimize routing across India.

Key Responsibilities

Manage BGP peering relationships and latency optimization across all Indian point-of-presence (PoP) locations.

Configure and tune automated inline DDoS scrubbing appliances to mitigate attacks in real time.

Maintain zero packet loss and high-availability transit across redundant fiber conduits.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of BGP routing protocol, transit providers, and Internet Exchange Points (NIXI, Extreme IX).

Experience configuring routing hardware (Cisco, Juniper, BIRD, Arista).

Expertise in Layer 3/4/7 DDoS mitigation, traffic scrubbing, and stateful inspection firewalls.
