Job summary

Alike Thoughts in Pune, India is seeking a senior security solutions architect with 8-10 years Palo Alto/ Panorama and Checkpoint experience to drive design of enterprise network security.

You will collaborate with infrastructure architects and senior leaders to shape secure perimeters, lead technical design across cloud and on‑premise environments, and guide complex projects with a security-first mindset, travel ~10% as needed.

• Hands-on experience with public cloud such as Azure/AWS.
• Enabling DevOps tools such as Gitlab and Github.
• Must be proficient at requirements discovery and analysis, abstraction, solution context, alternatives identification.
• Extensive understanding of firewalls, intrusion systems, networking, databases, HA/DR, PCI compliance, and IT regulations.
• Experience managing multiple technology projects concurrently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design of enterprise network security systems and perimeter security frameworks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure architects, senior managers, and project managers to implement solutions.
• Communicate effectively with highly technical engineers and senior leadership.
• Support 24x7x365 high availability solutions and Tier 3 support.
• Drive project priorities, move initiatives forward, and resolve issues with minimal supervision.

Job description

8-10 Years Palo Alto / Panorama experience

8-10 Years of Checkpoint experience

Hands on experience with a public cloud such as Azure/AWS.

Enabling DevOps tools such as Gitlab and Github.

Must be proficient at the techniques of requirements discovery and analysis, application of abstraction, formulation of solution context, solution alternatives identification.

Extensive understanding and experience in technology areas for firewalls, intrusion systems, networking, databases, HA/DR, virtual systems, PCI compliance, and other IT regulations

Experience effectively managing multiple technology projects simultaneously.

Ability to move projects forward, prioritize tasks and resolve project issues with minimum supervision.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience supporting 24x7x365 high availability solutions, Tier 3 support.

Additional Skills/Knowledge:

High level organizational skills.

Minimum 2 years of hands on experience Python/Ansible scripting.

Agile software development practices (esp. Scrum and Kanban)

Configuration management tools (such as Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible)

Ability to work efficiently and productively without direction or guidance.

Capable of exercising extreme discretion and independent judgment.

Ability to handle extremely confidential information in a professional manner.

Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a high level of confidence.

Recent experience leading the technical design of enterprise network security systems or other complex projects related to perimeter security frameworks.

Ability to work closely with infrastructure/application architects, senior managers, and project managers to design and assist with the implementation of the solutions infrastructure related components.

Experience leading and communicating with highly technical engineers and senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications - Engineering and Design level certification for one or more of the following technical disciplines (CISSP, CEH, Palo Alto Network, Checkpoint Networks.)

Experience in an e-Commerce or client transaction environment.
