Naukri Assist is seeking a Software QA Engineer with 1+ years of automation experience using Python. The role focuses on API testing, contributing to an automation framework, and applying solid OOP concepts.

The candidate should work with Postman, Swagger, and standard QA tools within an Agile/Scrum environment. Strong communication in English and attention to detail are essential as you will document test plans and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• 1+ years of automation experience with Python and API testing.
• Experience contributing to automation framework development.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts.
• Familiar with networking concepts and testing approaches.
• Knowledge of Linux CLI and scripting is a plus.
• Experience with Postman, Swagger and version control tools.
• Exposure to agile/scrum methodologies and defect tracking tools.
• Ability to write clear test plans, cases and scripts.

Role & responsibilities

• Basic (1+ years) experience in automation with Python programming skills:
  • experience with backend / API testing.
  • relevant contribution to development of an automation framework.
  • solid understanding of OOP concepts.
• Basic (1+ years) experience with Networking concepts, protocols, traffic generation/inspection tools.
• Basic experience with Linux CLI, bash scripting, and virtualization technologies.
• Basic experience with API testing tools e.g.: Postman, Swagger etc.
• Basic experience with version control tools e.g.: Git, Perforce, BitBucket etc.
• Basic experience with defect tracking systems (Jira, TargetProcess, Mantis, Trello).
• Basic experience with Agile/Scrum development (Scrum, Kanban).
• Basic knowledge of testing methodologies including black-box, white-box, and gray-box testing. Knowledge of various testing types including functional, regression, integration, and security testing.
• Basic experience as a Software QA Engineer with proven success in test planning, execution, and documentation.
• Good experience with analyzing requirements, identifying test scenarios, and developing effective test plans, cases, and scripts.
• Good collaboration and communication skills in English, with ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
